As of
midnight, December 31, 1999, our mental health carrier will no longer be
United Behavioral Healthcare. Magellan Healthcare will take over as our
provider for mental heath and substance abuse benefits. If you or your
family members are already using a provider in the United Behavioral Healthcare
plan, treatment will not be interrupted and will continue for 15 months,
if needed. But remember, you must start treatment prior too the midnight
deadline. |

| Did you know that volunteers
run your union? These flight attendants have committed themselves to "volunteer"
to make our workplace a better environment. They are individuals like you,
who fly the line, who have families, and who are in school.
They are your union officers, your MEC committee chairs, those who staff
your local office, and your local committee representatives. They are those
individuals who believe that their time is of value by talking and writing
to their congressmen and senators to make significant changes within our
industry for a safer environment for both our customers as well as for
those of us who work the aircraft. They are individuals who volunteer their
time to find the correct answer for you when you call with a concern about
your contract. You might think that you do not have the time because of
a family that needs you, or you are a new hire or that you commute. Could
you give 10 minutes a day to AFA? Being part of AFA, and paying our
union dues is not enough; it is our obligation to help make that difference
not only to us but to your peers! Volunteer now! For more information,
