Dear Members,
We Are One
This week
the company announced the merger between US Airways and American Airlines to
form the New American Airlines. While most of the details are not yet clear, one
thing is certain: We will be an important part of making the world's largest
airline.
By securing
the 2013 Tentative Agreement, we will take an active role in building the New
American and establishing the framework as future issues are resolved. Many
opportunities lie ahead, as well as challenges. I have no doubt that Flight
Attendants at US Airways are up for the task.
Over the
next two weeks I will be visiting crew rooms around the system to answer
questions about the merger as well as the 2013 Tentative Agreement. I look
forward to seeing you:

With this merger becoming reality, it's more important now than ever that you
vote in this ratification.
Profit Sharing
Election
As
announced, US Airways will pay profit sharing in mid-March to eligible
employees. You can make a special deferral election to your profit sharing
payment.
Starting
Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 11 a.m. ET through Friday, March 1 at 4 p.m. ET, log into
your Fidelity account at
www.netbenefits.com/usairways
and elect a pre-tax deferral percentage, after-tax contribution percentage, Roth
401(k) contribution percentage, catch-up deferral percentage or a Roth catch-up
contribution percentage (if age 50 or over) that will be applied only to your
profit sharing payment.
If you do
not make a special election, your current elections on file will be applied to
the profit sharing payment. More information can be found on Wings.

Solidarity,
