Dear Members,
|
KCM A Success
The Known Crew Member program was implemented on October 1, 2012. The system performed as designed and has been very successful. Almost 100% of the Flight attendants that approached a KCM checkpoint were granted access. The very few flight attendants that were denied access were recently returned from a leave. The system cannot immediately update the status of flight attendants returning from a leave and needs a full day to process the information.
It is important to remember all crew members remain subject to random full screening. If the TSA officer is unable to verify employment status, the crew member should proceed through standard screening process and notify an Inflight Supervisor as soon as possible.
In Solidarity,
Roger Holmin ? MEC President
Mark Gentile ? MEC Vice President
Glenda Talley ? MEC Secretary/Treasurer
