Crew Accommodations Update August

For those of you that are planning on flying trips in September that RON in PHX the following flights and bases will be effected by the recent hotel change for the long layover;

September 1-6 flights 155-LGA, 425-CLT, 167-DCA and 111-PHL.
September 7- and there after flights 1505-CLT, 1193-PHL, 787-DCA and 848-BOS.

The new property because of its size unfortunately is holding us to a 20 room per night maximum and the flights listed above for the month of September reflect the 20 longest of the long RON's which AFA and ALPA felt would be the most equitable ones to pull out of the existing long property. The flight numbers and bases will most likely change from month to month because they are going to have to be manually separated from the current long facility. As mentioned in the July E-Line the new property is located almost next door to the former long facility that we occupied prior to the October 2005 change.

Marriott International announced that all of the Company's lodging brands in the United States and Canada will become 100 percent smoke-free beginning October 16, 2006 but most properties are planning to be in compliance by September 15, 2006 or before . Marriott brands include JW Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, Renaissance, Residence Inn, Courtyard, Town Place Suites, Fairfield Inn and Springhill Suites.

We are still awaiting a firm date to meet with the company concerning AFA's recent grievance filing over the company's sole selection of the two long properties BOS and ORD.

Site Inspections Completions/Decisions

SFO -L - A site inspection was conducted in this market in late July. The property that was inspected by AFA was one that the West group had been using for some time and would be replacing one of the East properties that currently houses approximately 10 East crew per night. After inspecting the new facility AFA East approves it use and we should begin using the property by November 1st.

MUC - A site inspection was performed in this market early August. Eleven properties were visited including the incumbent by AFA and ALPA. The incumbent was recommended along with one other property that is situated nearby our current location. The company is expected to make a decision by the end of September.

BNA-S - A site inspection was performed in this market in late August. Three properties were visited with one being recommended by AFA and ALPA. A decision is expected by the company by mid September.
