Crew Accommodations Update
CUN/L/S - A site inspection was performed in this market in June. Three properties were visited plus the relocation property the incumbent property would occasionally use because of renovations. AFA and ALPA recommended the use of a property other than the incumbent and the company agreed. Due to the change in layover schedule and the lack of crew to support a continuous use of rooms at this property, AFA and ALPA were notified that negotiations/terms had changed. Therefore, the company decided to continue to use the incumbent property in this market. The incumbent property will be under going renovations and at times, relocation will be necessary. Most recently, the incumbent property contacted the company to inform them that they would be unable, at times, to accommodate. The company once again notified AFA and ALPA that a decision was made to use the third property included on the site inspection.
RIC / L - A site inspection was performed in this market in July. Two properties were visited. AFA and ALPA strongly recommended the continued use of the incumbent property. After investigating and reviewing both AFA and ALPA reports, the company will continue to use the incumbent property in this market.
BUF / S - A site inspection was performed in this market in July. Five properties were visited. Recent relocation was necessary due to the incumbent property being sold and closed. AFA recommended the use of the relocation property as a second choice in this market. The company chose the current incumbent/recent relocation property for continued use.
MAD / * - A site inspection was performed in this market in August. A decision has not been made at this time. AFA and ALPA have offered (4) recommendations out of the (11) properties visited.
