Contribute to the Pegasus
Project
The
Pegasus Project's mission is to provide short-term emergency grants for
members of AFA who are experiencing financial hardship due to a critical,
life-threatening, illness or injury. Pegasus has helped flight attendants
with cancer, lupus, severe back injury and disc degeneration, addiction
to pain medication, clinical depression, injury from turbulence, degenerative
nerve disease, hepatitis, HIV, AID's and memory loss due to inhaling toxic
fumes on an aircraft. These efforts are accomplished with compassion, confidentiality
and the preservation of dignity and respect for the individuals concerned.
The success of Pegasus is directly
attributable to the generosity of member donations, fund raising events
held by Local Councils and contributions made through the United Way Campaign
Fund Drives. Many of our AFA carriers will soon begin their United Way
Campaigns. To support Pegasus we encourage you to give through these Fund
Drives, by writing in "The Pegasus Project" on the United Way enrollment
form. Direct contributions to support Pegasus may be mailed to: The Pegasus
Project, P.O. Box 40034, Phoenix, AZ 85067. Donations to Pegasus are tax-deductible
and will help keep our co-workers lights on and food on their table.
