Safety On Board

May 24, 2007

Dear Members,

We need your immediate input on "Monitor & Challenge"

Next month the AFA/CWA SASH Committee will have their annual safety roundtable meeting with the company. The scheduled meeting participants are MEC Officers EAST/WEST, the LEC safety chairs from every base, Barrington Johnson MEC safety/EAST, Doreen Fredette MEC safety/WEST, Various Company and government officials including, the FAA, In-flight Training, VP Corporate Safety, VP Customer Service, and others.

The information you provide will be incorporated into our presentation to the company. With your assistance, these procedures could be modified to work more efficiently. Flight attendants who respond will also receive an email from us after the conference detailing the findings and actions.

Since we are actively using "Monitor & Challenge, the committee needs to know what is working, and not working with the present system. We need detailed information from the flight attendant group as a whole. Your opinions are important. Send a detailed email to your base SASH representative with the following information:

1. Name
2. Employee Number
3. Domicile
4. Hire Date & Recurrent Month
5. Valid email address
6. Detailed information on the entire process. From training to implementation. From preflight briefings to cockpit interference. From the actual verbiage of the announcements to their procedures. We also need to know what is working right so the announcements and procedures can continue. Be as informative as possible.

If you don't have access to a computer, we still need your input. Please write this material up and place it in the appropriate safety committee chairs flight attendant mail file, or, click on your domicile's AFA/CWA SASH committee representative's email address below as soon as possible:

Thanks for your assistance!!!
