Local 70 Reserve Update
Today's Topics:
As we are
fast approaching the holiday season I wanted to send out a
few reminders! Also, the company has published a new Reserve
Handbook* so pick up your copy today in the Crew Room!
Sick on Contact (SOC) and Late Sick Call
A SOC is when a flight attendant fails to notify crew
scheduling that he/she is sick prior to being contacted.
Also, if you call in sick after picking up your trip, one of
two things will occur: First, if the time of the sick call
is more than two hours from the time of check-in, you will
marked as sick. Second, if the time of the sick call is
within two (2) hours from the time of your check-in, you
will be marked with a Late Sick Call (LSC). Sick on Contact
and Late Sick Call are both dependability events. Absent
mitigating circumstances, both infractions will remain in
your file for one (1) year.
Reserve out of Base (ROB)
A flight attendant is considered to be ROB if he/she is not
one hour and thirty minutes (1:30) travelling time, given
normal surface transportation conditions to the airport.
Being a ROB may be considered both a dependability event and
a conduct infraction. Please be aware that the company can
research your non-revenue travel records at any time.
