RSV LTO CATCREW ERROR 9/2/05
On Friday September 2nd I contacted the Manager of Flight Attendant scheduling attempting to identify a problem with the CATS option 18 screen. At first glance it appears that the bucket system was out of sync putting the 0.00 and 5.01 buckets out of order. After talking to the programmers and with further research, we have been assured that everyone was processed in the correct order. The programmers have taken action to correct this glitch that was isolated to that one day.
16 hour RSV International Rest Reminder
We are still getting reports of schedulers attempting to assign trips during your 16 hours of rest following an international trip. Please keep in mind that this is BLOCK to BLOCK rest so if you get in off an international flight you have the right to ask for your 16 hours of block to block rest. You DO NOT have to depart the gate until 16 hours have passed since your flight blocked in. Scheduling does have the right to contact you after your regular rest (8:30 plus debrief,: 15 for domestic and :30 for International) to assign you something after your 16 hours of block to block rest are up and that is their right. This is not an uninterrupted 16 hours. I say this so that we as a flight attendant group are on the same page as scheduling and I am trying my best to ensure the schedulers are educated on this issue as well. The Manager of Flight Attendant scheduling is looking into how the computers are programmed to reflect the proper international rest. This was a moot issue when the ITD fence was in place and now is an issue that needs to be addressed. Remember to quote section 12.B.3.b of your contract if you encounter problems and then report it back to your local office.
