Local 70 Reserve Update
May 21, 2007

Today's Topics:

  • Home Domicile Rest vs. Uninterrupted Rest
  • Holiday Pay
  • OPR Phone Coverage

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT REST: At your option, you may request HOME DOMICILE rest up to a maximum of 10hrs 15min block in to block out after the completion of your trip. UNINTERRUPTED REST (8hrs 30min commencing at block-in plus debrief) is the time that scheduling CANNOT contact you after the completion of your trip.

QUESTION: "Can the company call me after my 8:30 rest period?"

ANSWER: Yes, but you do not have to block out until 10:15 at your option. You must request this.

QUESTION: "If I don’t request that I would like the maximum rest what will happen? "

ANSWER: The scheduler will automatically waive you down to minimum rest of 9:15.

Please review the chart on page 10-5 of contract.

When sitting OPR duty you must be available at first contact, either from the crew room OPR phone or your personal contact "cell" phone, from scheduling as you are considered on duty.
