- Stepped
Up Inspection on Crews
- Departure
of PHL Base Manager
Dear PHL Flight
Attendants:
Stepped Up Inspection
on Crews
|

|
The
Department of Agriculture is making a concerted effort to ensure
that the US Crew Member Declarations specifies every single edible
item you have brought into the country. This includes wine, meats,
cheeses, cookies, candies, etc. In other words if you can eat it,
please declare it. The Department of Agriculture has stepped up
crew member inspections and is fining each crew member $500.00 for
not listing the edible items and not checking the appropriate box.
If it is listed on your declaration but not an approved item they
will confiscate it without a fine. If it's not listed you WILL be
fined. For a list of approved foods you may bring into the country
please visit http://www.cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/vacation/kbyg/
or ask for a pamphlet from Customs Officials.
Departure
of PHL Base Manager
On
behalf on Council 70 and all the flight attendants in
Philadelphia, we wish to congratulate Base Manager Sunny Levitt as
she leaves US Airways. She has been an instrumental part of the
organization and she will be missed. We wish her the best as she
sets forth in pursuit of her dreams.
You
Can Be Whatever
You Want To Be!
There is inside you
all of the potential
to be whatever you want to be,
all of the energy
to do whatever you want to do.
Imagine yourself as you would like to be,
doing what you want to do,
and each day, take one step
towards your dream.
And though at times it may seem too
difficult to continue,
hold on to your dream.
One morning you will awake to find
that you are the person you dreamed of,
doing what you wanted to do,
simply because you had the courage
to believe in your potential
and to hold on to your dream.
