These among other words are what US Airways Reserves
know. However, in the darkness there is always a
light...
Omar Bryant, the Philadelphia LEC
Reserve Chairperson is one of ours. Omar has been with
US Airways since 1998 but has been working in the
airline industry since 1994 while working for US
Airways Express (Mesa Airlines). Omar is a single
mother, commuter and a hard working professional
flight attendant who wants the best for her family,
your family, and the betterment of US Airways.
Omar has said, "Reserves come when
called upon, answer in 15-min or less, they are your
early morning check in, and your late arrival
coverage, and so much more. You see us every
Christmas, Thanksgiving, Mothers Day, Super Bowl
Sunday and all the other holidays in between.
Blizzards and storms are synonyms with reserve." Omar
went on to say that, "reserve is not an illness, we
are the same professional flight attendants who yelled
our commands at the exit door side by side with all of
the other professional flight attendants at US
Airways. When we appear at the pre-flight briefing
don't be surprised that my name is not Reserve. I will
gladly extend my hand, flash my onboard smile and say,
Hello, my name is Omar. I have come to save the day.
I'm a reserve and that's what we do."
I am happy to have this position as
your LEC Reserve Chairperson and welcome the
challenges that come with it. With hard work and
determination we will continue this journey. We were
all reserve at one time or another and every reserve
is a flight attendant. Thank you for your time and
heartfelt support.
