Attention to all MAA Flight Attendants

An issue regarding the profit sharing checks had been brought to my attention in the later days of March. Three flight attendants who had returned to USAirways Mainline in June 2006 as a result of a recall of involuntary furloughed flight attendants had requested that I investigate whether they had in fact received the correct amount in accordance with their MAA/USA earnings. Initially I requested the investigation through the Director of Labor Relations, Ms. Cindi Simone. Cindi was extremely helpful in providing me with the information required to make a determination. We both agreed that in the three examples I had cited the flight attendant had only received profit sharing funds based solely on their USAirways Mainline earnings. It was apparent their MAA earnings had not been taken into account when the calculations were performed. I had indicated to Ms. Simone that I felt this was more than a coincidence, but rather a trend. Upon my review of this information I had requested a complete validation of profit sharing for all ( approx 78 ) MAA flight attendants who had W-2 earnings with both MAA/USA in 2006. Ms. Simone was most receptive in my request and ordered the investigation. I am happy to advise you that there has been an error and those entitled to additional profit sharing funds will receive this in your April 30 paycheck. For those who are listed under payroll deduction the same will apply. Please contact an Inflight supervisor or myself if you do not receive the funds you are entitled to in the April 30 check. IF you have any further questions please feel free to call me at any time.
