US Airways Bankruptcy Update
Labor Unions have secured seats on the Creditors Committee. AFA has been awarded one of these seats and International President Pat Friend has designated MEC President Perry Hayes as our representative. AFA's legal council, Jeff Bartos, also represents the US Airways flight attendants at all meetings. Mr. Hayes and Mr. Bartos participated in their first meeting today via conference call. Today's call was for administrative purposes. The next meeting of the Committee will be on October 6 to discuss the 1113 (e) motion and the motion concerning pension payments. As a reminder the 1113 (e) motion(s) will be heard by the court beginning October 7, 2004 in Alexandria, VA. Thank You, Your MEC Officers <:><:><:><:><:><:><:> Accessing
