THE USE OF THE AIL IS NOT AFFECTED BY "PROTECTED HOLIDAYS"

The Company issued the following CBS message regarding Protected Holidays:

Date: Tuesday, 23 September 2008 14:04 ET
From: HOBSONGARCIA.P
Subject: Protected Holidays

List of the Protected Holidays as per the FA Agreement, Page 9-3,
Paragraph e.

January 1st
Memorial Day
Independence Day
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
December 24th, 25th and 31st.

The Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) specifies that SAP (Section 9.3.e -page 9-8) is affected by Protected Holidays. The use of the AIL is not affected by a Protected Holiday.

For example:

Pairing #00001 originates on Wednesday, November 25 and terminates on Friday, November 28. The Thanksgiving holiday falls on Thursday November 27. A Flight Attendant holding this pairing is contractually entitled to use the AIL to touch Wednesday in order to be off on Thanksgiving Day.

All other AIL rules (e.g., the weekend trip restriction) apply.

DAILY SCHEDULING MUST BE NOTIFIED IF YOU ARE ORIGINATING A PAIRING DOWNLINE

Please remember that if a pairing originates with a Deadhead segment and you plan to originate in the downline station on the first live leg, you must notify Daily Crew Scheduling prior to the sign in time for the pairing of your intention. Failure to notify Daily Crew Scheduling will result in a "no-show". It is not necessary to notify Future Crew Scheduling as they will not enter such notification in the "remarks" screen and Daily Crew Scheduling will have no knowledge of your intention (or whereabouts).

Thank you,

Mike Flores, President
The US Airways Master Executive Council
