DEPENDENT VERIFICATION AUDIT REMINDER

US Airways East employees participated last year in the Dependent Verification Audit. The Audit is being conducted again this year. This year's audit primarily involves West employees; however some East employees have been sent audit paperwork due to a status change. It is imperative that any employee, East or West, who has received audit paperwork, complete the audit. The deadline has been extended to 2000 EST, Friday, September 21st. Failure to complete the audit by that time may result in loss of dependant health care coverage.

The following letter was received today from Cari Ulrich, Director Human Resources and Benefit Services:

All-

Although the deadline to submit the necessary materials was last Friday, more than 1,000 employees have yet to turn in all or some of their dependent verification paperwork to Budco, the company handling US Airways' Dependent Verification Audit. US Airways has decided to extend the Dependent Audit Verification Deadline one final week to Sept. 21, 2007. Although this 2nd and final extension comes at a cost, we felt it necessary in order to increase the level of participation prior to the cut off. This will be the final extension in order to meet the timelines necessary for Benefits Annual Enrollment.

We mailed the Dependent Verification Audit materials to employees on June 23rd, but the response rate is still below where we expected it to be. We would like to enlist your assistance in reminding your members who have not yet complied with the requirements of the audit to do so this week in order to prevent their loved ones from being dropped from their benefits plans. As a reminder, the Company will suspend the benefits of employees who fail to validate the eligibility of their dependants by Friday, September 21. Budco will have the phone lines (888-326-7201) open until 8pm eastern time and the fax lines (800-964-0382) will be open until 3am eastern time on Saturday.

The last thing the company wants to do is drop coverage for legitimate dependents, and so we would really appreciate getting the word out through every available communication channel.

Please encourage your members to call the Dependent Verification Audit Help Line at 1-888-326-7201 with any questions regarding the audit or to request a new packet of information. The phone lines are open 11am - 8pm eastern time. We thank you in advance for helping make the Dependent Verification Audit a success. Remember, the final deadline for filing is September 21, 2007.

You will be receiving a list of your union members later today who are identified as incomplete. Any employee identified on the list needs to submit additional information in order to maintain benefits for their eligible dependants. Thank you very much for any help you can provide for your members. Please call or send an email if you have any questions.
