Dear Members,

  • BENEFIT ENROLLMENT DEADLINE
  • Accessing The Hub
  • AFA Local Numbers

The Joint Negotiating Committee (JNC) met October 7-9 in Charlotte and October 14-16 in Phoenix. The JNC is continuing to develop a counter proposal to the Company's Scheduling proposal.

The JNC will meet again November 4-6 in Phoenix and November 18-20 in Charlotte.

Let me make this short and sweet. I will not negotiate a contract that I can't work under. I also will not negotiate a contract that the most junior reserve who may be flying a trip with me can't work under.

A single agreement has various core requirements that must be satisfied in order to be presented to the membership for ratification. Those core components include, but are not limited to, a meaningful wage increase, a flexible scheduling system, a reserve system that allows a reserve the ability earn a living and have a life, sick leave paid at 100% and an improved vacation accrual.

As I have said before, the JNC will not "settle" for an agreement that does not meet the needs of all members.
