Interim Negotiations Update
The Negotiating Committee has been continuing to meet in an effort to come to an agreement with the Company regarding interim relief. As of this moment, we have not reached an agreement with the Company. Aside from problems we have had with the Company on an ongoing basis regarding valuations, it has been difficult when the team of Company negotiators has been more focused on ALPA. We gave the Company a counter proposal late Tuesday and as of 3 :00 PM today, we have not yet received a response. The Company advised us that they were involved with ALPA all day yesterday. This excuse will be made known to the judge in Bankruptcy Court as AFA has no say in who negotiates for the Company and the fact that the Company has the same team dealing with two of the largest unions on the property.
The Committee is going to DC to meet with our Bankruptcy Counsel tomorrow in preparation for the hearing. If an agreement is not reached before then , the hearing is scheduled to begin at 1:30 pm EDT. As soon as additional information is available, we will let you know.
