Dear Members,

The Seniority Integration Committee is meeting in DCA November 7 -16 to review protests received from our members regarding their SID (Seniority Integration Date) or Seniority Number. If you filed a protest related to your SID, you will receive a certified letter containing the committee's response. The committee will only send one certified letter per protest. If necessary, please notify your local post office that you are expecting a certified letter, and make arrangements for it to be held, or released to someone designated by you. We will continue to investigate SID protests this week. If you protested your Seniority Number, you will receive a response via 1st class mail verifying your Seniority Number as of October 4, 2005. As stated in an earlier E-line, your Seniority Number - i.e., your position on the seniority list - changes almost daily due to attrition in our work group - retirements, resignations, terminations, etc.

We'd like to take a moment to remind all US Airways flight attendants that the Company is required to post a copy of our system seniority list in each domicile in January and July of each year. Once this list is posted, flight attendants have 30 days to protest any alleged omission or incorrect posting affecting their seniority on the current list. Such protest is limited to errors or changes occurring subsequent to the posting of prior system seniority lists. (Flight Attendants on authorized leaves of absence may protest an alleged error or omission within 30 days of their return to active duty). [See: Section 16 of the Flight Attendant Agreement] You may also protest alleged errors or omissions during the seniority integration process, however in no case will a flight attendant be allowed to move to a higher position relative to another flight attendant currently on our list.

Take Care & Fly Safe!
