CREW SCHEDULING RELOCATION AND PHONE SYSTEM CHANGES

With the relocation of Crew Scheduling to the new OCC Building in PIT there have been changes made to the phone system used to contact scheduling. The 800 number will remain the same; however the non-800 number will change. Effective midnight on Tuesday November 11th the new landline number to contact scheduling will be: 412-474-5100.

For those Flight Attendants calling from outside the United States you may have to use the above number in order to reach crew scheduling. The Company will put out additional information later today.

In addition to the change to the non-800 number there has been an addition to the prompt system. For Future Scheduling once directed to your base, you will hear the following prompt:

"If you are returning a beep or call from Future-press 1, for all other calls- press 2".

For Daily scheduling once directed to your base, you will hear the following prompt:

"If you are returning a beep or call from Daily-press 1, if you are calling off because of illness or injury-press 2, for all other calls-press 3".

The system is designed to prioritize calls, and achieve greater efficiency in answering calls for both Flight Attendants and crew schedulers.

ETB AND AIL
After working with AFA, Manager of Crew Scheduling, John Petronzi issued the following CBS message on Friday:

If a Flight Attendant goes on the AIL and also has their trip on the ETB (Electronic Tradeboard) to drop, trade or trying to pick up another trip from the ETB, they will automatically be removed from the AIL if the request is approved. If the Flight Attendant wants to remain on the AIL after the request has been approved, the Flight Attendant must advise scheduling if they wish to remain on the AIL at the time of their bid.

John Petronzi, Manager
Flight Attendant Crew Scheduling

The AFA discovered that crew schedulers were assuming that once an ETB trip transaction was processed a bidder on the AIL wanted to be removed from the AIL. If a Flight Attendant wants to remain on the AIL after an ETB transaction is processed they simply must notify scheduling at the time the Flight Attendant goes on the AIL.

Thank you,
