Dear Members,

We Need Your Help... BOS Long Layover Hotel

On Friday, April 28th, crewmembers were notified via CBS message of a change in hotels in the BOS/Long market for May 1st. Upon further investigation, it was discovered that AFA / ALPA Crew Accommodations Chairpersons nor any AFA Officer was notified in advance of this decision. Both AFA and ALPA performed a site inspection in this market in March recommending properties downtown / metropolitan BOS for the long layover as for years US Airways has always used a downtown property in this market.

The property cited in this CBS message is 25 miles from Logan International Airport and was chosen by the 'new management' team on the recommendation of a broker. Subsequent to these discoveries, AFA East and West MEC Presidents dialogued with the company expressing objection to this decision. The company advised that the decision will stand, be monitored and has chosen to ignore any language in our contracts, past practice or involvement/recommendation of AFA/ALPA. The MEC has advised the company that a grievance will be filed.

While this process is underway, we are requesting and need your assistance in that any flight attendant who has a long /BOS layover at this property to provide feedback concerning, travel to/from the airport/ safety and security both in and around this property / room placement issues / room condition issues etc. The most expeditious way in which to provide this feedback is via an OF310 available on THEHUB/Forms and Publications or the AFA Website/Hotel www.afausairways.org. Your form is received by AFA Crew Accommodations and the Company Crew Accommodations Manager upon submission.

Please take the time to assist and provide this information.

Thank you,

Your Master Executive Council Officers
