Dear Members,

MEC Grievance Information Update

Past Practice Grievance - MEX Cancellations Pay Protection

The MEC Grievance Department filed this grievance, although the Company has pay-protected these canceled trips in accordance with our contract language they have also added that any trips picked up from the Electronic Trade Board or Availability Improvement List, outside of the Last Trip of The Month, will be deducted from the 71 hours that are guaranteed by Section 3B 1.a. Therefore if you are a block-holder that needs to fly more than 71 hours, any trips you fly will be deducted from the 71 hours. The reason the Last Trip is protected, is because we have language.
