Dear Members,

ETB QUESTION AND ANSWER FORM

Since the implementation of the Electronic Trade Board last May, the Union, the Company and the membership have experienced varying levels of confusion. The ETB was designed to provide a method to replace the various flying options we lost during the 2004 concessionary agreement. The idea seemed simple at the time but like most things, the actual implementation has given rise to several problems that were not anticipated or addressed either in negotiations or implementation.

During the past year the Company and the Union have identified many points of confusion regarding the ETB and are committed to educating the Inflight staff and the membership.

The Crew Scheduling department is currently conducting ETB training seminars for all Inflight Supervisors. By the end of the month all Inflight supervisors should be able to answer any questions you may have pertaining to the ETB.

In addition the Union has created an ETB Question and Answer Form on our web site.
http://www.afausairways.org/ETB/etb.html.

If you have any question about the ETB, please use this form and you will receive an answer. AFA members will respond to any and all questions pertaining to ETB vs. AIL time as it relates to your monthly obligation; general ETB usage etc..

Please confine your use of the form to questions rather than as a forum to complain. If you want to complain about the ETB in general you may contact me personally either by email or telephone.

Thank you,

Mike Flores, President
US Airways AFA-CWA MEC
