Travel Without Valid Passport

The Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) requires all travelers to and from the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and the British Overseas Territory of Bermuda to have a passport or other accepted document that establishes the bearer's identity and citizenship to enter or re-enter the United States.

Please be advised that photocopies of your passport are not valid travel documents for these destinations, and crewmembers returning from these areas without a valid passport are considered WHTI non-compliant and subject US Airways to a penalty.

If you have sent your passport for renewal, you may not fly to Mexico, Central America and any of the Caribbean or European destinations we currently service. If contacted by scheduling to work such a trip it is your responsibility to advise them you do not have a valid passport and you will not be pay protected. Please contact your InFlight Supervisor if you have additional questions or concerns.
