"WHAT
IS SICK LINE VALUE?"
With
the implementation of the new sick policy last April, the
Company established a new term called Sick Line Value. It is
the value established after your block is awarded and
post-SAP. It is the value used to determine your maximum sick
claim if you
are
out for more than one-half of a given month and also the value
used to determine the five-hour penalty if you are sick for
less than one-half of a given month. The change to when the
Sick Line Value (SLV) snapshot is taken was made due to the
number of flight attendants who were disadvantaged when the
snapshot was taken at 0001 on the first day of the month. If
you had a trip that was a lead-in trip and you used the AIL to
trip improve off that trip, your SLV was adjusted downward as
a result of when the snapshot was taken.""
