Dear Members,
The following went out on a CBS message regarding the RESCINDING of the April displacements to LGA...
The company will be, for the first time in 4 years, recalling 50 Involuntary furloughees back to "Mainline" to be based in LGA.
They are a sure "welcome back" to our ranks.

CBS: April Displacements Rescinded:
After additional review of the company's Transformation Plan, the reduction of eleven 737-300s from the fleet in May, June Voluntary Furlough returns, the upcoming Voluntary Furlough Limited Recall (VFLR) offering and the Early Retirement Incentive Program, we are rescinding the April 2005 Displacement Notifications to LGA dated February 28, 2005. To assist us in balancing this base, we will recall fifty (50) flight attendants from the Involuntary Furlough list to LGA effective May 1, 2005.
Recall notifications will be mailed out next week.
Crew Planning and In-flight Administration will continue to monitor our crew base alignment with hope that the above programs will help balance out the other crew base imbalances currently in the system.

Dear Members,
The company put out a CBS message with regard to "Flight Attendant Cabin Tidying" taking in consideration our "side letter". Please read the following keeping in mind that you need to be vigilant of when your block-in time is, and add :15 minutes. This will be the end of your "Duty Day Period". Also, carry the side letter with you when you fly.

Taken from the CBS Message:
*** F/As are required to tidy the aircraft following the last flight segment of their work day if none of the exceptions exist (see CBS of 2/25 and aircraft cleaning Hotsheet). However, F/As are not required to exceed their "On-Duty Time" [fifteen (:15) minutes after flight arrival] to do so. We fully expect F/As to be able to accomplish the cabin cleaning duties prior to the conclusion of their duty day on the majority of flights, but will not require F/As to remain onboard the aircraft over fifteen (:15) minutes after their arrival time to do so.
*** F/As are to tidy the aircraft in hub cities, and on aircraft slated for a security check on an outbound international flight.
*** F/As clean outbound international flights but do not clean in Caribbean destinations (except NAS), or after the flight returns to the US (except NAS).
*** If you experience special cleaning needs (lav supplies/illness
clean-up/etc.) coordinate with the flight deck to call in range and notify ground staff.
*** Gloves should be available in the PSK, and by request from catering. Also, gloves are currently being made available in the base crew rooms.

| CORRECTION
After a thorough review of the "side
letter" with regard to Aircraft Cabin Cleaning, the company
has made an ERROR on their CBS message in which I posted on the
MEC E-line.
Please DISMISS the CBS message that applies to
***** F/As are to tidy the aircraft in hub cities, and on
aircraft slated for a security check on an outbound
international flight.
*** F/As clean outbound international flights
but do not clean in Caribbean destinations (except NAS), or
after the flight returns to the US (except NAS). WE DO NOT TIDY
ANY TRANSOCEANIC FLIGHTS (ITD) or NON-TRANSOCEANIC FLIGHTS
INBOUND OR OUTBOUND! Except for Nassau (NAS). We do not clean
any segments immediately preceding the scheduled RON of the a/c
or immediately following a scheduled red-eye, or immediately
following ANY segment following that originates or terminates in
an airport WEST of Kansas City.
PLEASE CARRY THE SIDE LETTER WITH YOU (MAKE
COPIES) EVERY TIME YOU FLY.
I apologize for this confusion with this
issue.
