CHANGE TO MONTHLY VACATION & FILLER DAY BID WINDOW

The window for bidding of monthly vacation re-bids and filler day bids will be changed effective with the August Bid Month. Pursuant to the contract the bids, "shall be awarded no later than the tenth of each month…"

The bids will now close on the sixth of the month prior to the re-bid or filler day. Pursuant to the contract, the monthly vacation re-bid and the filler day bid must remain open for ten (10) days. There is no contractual language stating when the bids open. Please review Section 7.D.4 of the Flight Attendant Agreement.

The bids have been closing on the tenth of the month prior but that has meant at times the bid awards are not known prior to Secondary Line closing. In an effort to ensure the bid awards are posted prior Secondary Line closing and by the tenth of every month, the Union and the Company agreed to shift the window forward.

The following time line will be in effect for the August monthly vacation re-bid and August filler day bids (ALL TIMES EST):

August Vacation Monthly Re-bid and Filler day bids OPEN – Tuesday June 26 at 1800
August Vacation Monthly Re-bid and Filler day bids CLOSE – Friday  July 06 at 1800

As a reminder, August Secondary Lines close Thursday August 12 at 1800.

In the future, the vacation monthly re-bid and filler day bids for the following will continue to close on the sixth of the month prior.

CATCREW FAILURE AND TIMELINE ADJUSTMENT

Home use of CATCREW was unavailable for most of the day Sunday, June 24, 2007. The problem was identified last night and corrected. CATCREW home use became available at approximately 2230 (EST).

As a result, the following timelines in the July calendar have been adjusted to allow for the lapse in CATCREW availability:

-Group 1 SAP (BOS/PHL/PIT)          CLOSE - June 30
-Group 2 SAP (CLT/DCA/LGA)         CLOSE – July 1

-August Secondary Lines                OPEN – July 9
-August Secondary Lines                CLOSE- July 14

-August Secondary Line Over/
 Projection Drop                             OPEN – July15

-August Secondary Line
 Augmentation                              OPEN – July 15

-August Reserve Lines                    OPEN – July 16 (as published)

In addition the remainder of the July calendar will remain unchanged.

CHANGES TO OPTION 18

The Company issued the following CBS message this afternoon regarding CATCREW Option 18:

Date: Monday, 25 June 2007 12:08 ET
To: Emc2-News-c
From: GUNSTEENS.T
Subject: CATCREW Option #18 Changes

In response to a request by AFA, the Company is in the process of
implementing several changes to CATCREW Option #18 (CATS
RESERVE SCREEN).    These changes will go into production
June 26th.

The first change adds a new sort option to the screen.  Rather than
only having the options of looking at your LTO as PRJ (Projected)
time or MTD (Month To Date) time, you will have a third option, LTO
(Daily LTO).  Once Crew Scheduling time stamps the bid sheet for
the next day, you can pull up your Option #18 screen (for current
day or following day) and it will automatically default to your (D)LTO
value.  As a result, you will be able to see any changes made
immediately.  You will be able to track your LTO much more closely
without having to try to figure it out yourself!  If you want to see your
PRJ or MTD LTO times, all you need to do is change the indicator
and press enter.  The new (D)LTO will be available for current day or
next day only.

Another change you will notice is that after the 26th, RSVs who appear
on this screen will no longer show up with their status information.
The only status information that will be displayed will be COM, AVL,
AVV, OFF, INV, VAC, REL, ROC, FLY, RST, TRN, DBL and WRK.
Other status will appear as "N/A".  This change is being made for
privacy reasons.

The final change that is being implemented is one that you may not
even notice.  There has been a problem for those of you that use
Apple MAC computers with Flightline access to CATS.  In the past,
when you pull up Option #18 on a MAC, you were not able to see
how many days of availability each person on the list had.  This
problem was due to the way that the emulator software interpreted
color.  We have changed the coding on the screen to rectify this
problem.  Once the change is in place, everyone should be able to
see the days of availability field as they do in the crew room.

We realize that this screen is heavily used by Reserve crew members,
so we hope that these changes will make life a little bit easier.

The change to Option 18 has been discussed in previous Elines. The only changes will be to reflect privacy concerns.

Thank you,

Mike Flores, President
US Airways Master Executive Council
