Dear Members, The MEC met on Tuesday, June 14 and elected 2 members to the "Merger Seniority Integration Committee as outlined in the AFA Policy and Procedures. There were many applications received from the membership for these positions and the voting members of the MEC went through numerous rounds before electing two very capable and qualified individuals. They are: John Humphries, CLT Base Flight Attendant Marianne Moore, CLT Base Flight Attendant In addition to this election, we also had numerous applications from interested members for the created MEC Scheduling open position. Sheri Baker, Boston Based Flight Attendant was elected as a new MEC Scheduling Committee Member who will work with Carol Austin, the MEC Scheduling Chair. Congratulations to those who were elected. Thank you to all who showed interest and had applied for these positions. As a reminder, the MEC will be electing a Negotiating Committee Member to serve on a joint merger negotiating committee for the purpose of jointly obtaining interim safeguards, including a fence agreement with management, and merging the employment agreements. We have extended the application deadline through July 5th and will hold an election for this position at a "Special Meeting of the MEC on July 7th at 11:30 at the MEC Office, 200 Marshall Drive, Coraopolis, PA.
