NOTICE OF ELECTION

US Airways Master Executive Council

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

-- LONG TERM DISABILITY BOARD ONE (1) ALTERNATE MEMBER and

-- SYSTEM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT ONE (1) PERMANENT MEMBER

LONG TERM DISABILITY BOARD ONE (1) ALTERNATE MEMBER

Positions to be filled at the regularly scheduled MEC Meeting on June 15, 16, 17, 2004. The meeting will be held at the MEC Office, 200 Marshall Drive, Coraopolis, PA  15108. This position is available due to a vacancy.  The term of office runs through December 31, 2004.

Qualifications:
-- US Airways Flight Attendant
-- AFA member in good standing

Position Summary
LONG TERM DISABILITY BOARD

A. SCOPE

 1. The LTD/R Board shall review the status of the LTD and Retirement plans as outlined in Section 22.H of the Flight Attendant Working Agreement.

 2. The LTD/R shall include two (2) members and one (1) alternate member elected by the MEC.

B. POLICY

1. The LTD/R Board will be knowledgeable about all current contract provisions in regards to LTD, retirement, and the Back to Work agreement.

2. The LTD/R Board shall advise the membership of any changes in Company, legislative, or judicial policy regarding LTD and retirement.  The Committee will disseminate such information in a manner to keep the membership well informed.  This may be accomplished via MEC Newsletters, the LEC LTD/R Representatives, or Local Council meetings.

3. The LTD/R Board shall work to guarantee Flight Attendants LTD and retirement benefits equivalent to the best in the Company and the industry.

4. The LTD/R Board will work to promote AFA's interest in all areas of LTD and retirement.

C.   DUTIES

1. Hearing all disputes arising out of the application and interpretation of the Plan.

2. Develop rules and procedures not otherwise specified in the Plan.

3. Periodically review the status of the plan including the:

a. Actuarial practices
b. Investment policies and administration of the Fund
c. Expenses and compensation in connection with the Fund.

SYSTEM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT - ONE (1) PERMANENT MEMBER

Positions to be filled at the regularly scheduled MEC Meeting on June 15, 16, 17, 2004.  The meeting will be held at the MEC Office, 200 Marshall Drive, Coraopolis, PA 15108.  This position is available due to a retirement.  The term of office runs through December 31, 2004.

Position Summary
ARTICLE VII

SYSTEM BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT

A. SCOPE

Members are to serve on the System Board of Adjustment for the purpose of arbitrating any disputes or grievances, which may arise under the terms of the Agreement between US Airways and its Flight Attendants.

B. POLICY

1. There shall be two (2) members and five (5) alternates elected to represent the Association.

2. System Board members shall be elected for a two (2) year term of office or until their successors have been duly elected.  At least one Union member and Alternate shall be elected each year so as to ensure, insofar as possible, that both Union members will not at any time both be new.

3. The System Board members will act in the best interest of the membership and the Association and will be consistent with the Agreement between the Flight Attendants and US Airways.

4. The System Board members will be required to update the System Board Index every six months.

5. System Board members shall assist in the development and presentation of the yearly Grievance Chairperson's Seminar.
