February FA Pay Dates - Reminder

The Flight Attendant Pay Dates for February are Tuesday, February 17th and Friday, February 27th.

Drug testing while sitting OPR

You may be subject to drug testing while sitting OPR. The drug testing regulation provides that companies are responsible for testing before, during and immediately preceding the performance of a safety sensitive duty. OPR testing must be done while you are waiting for an assignment, and testing only at the end of an assignment would be in non-compliance with the FAA.

If a tester targets you for a random drug or alcohol test you must comply. Contact the scheduling department as soon as practical to inform them that you are being tested in the event you are able to accept an assignment or if there is a delay in your ability to board the aircraft. Remember $15.00 applies for each test.

All other contract section for OPR trip selections would apply. If you have any questions contact your local AFA office.

Your W2 Information

The Union office has received calls and e-mails from members in regard to questions on W2 information sent out by the company and in regard to the W2 information that is found on the Hub. This could include questions about the taxable and non-taxable amounts for our per-diem or on the earning's summary.

The summary sheet that was sent along with the W2 is being reviewed for discrepancies and if this is in fact the problem, the company will communicate any errors.

The union has been in touch with the company and we will anticipate an update sometime Monday January 30.

Thank you,

Buddy Brannon
MEC Vice-President
