NOMINATION
BALLOTS ARRIVING SOON FOR LOCAL COUNCIL ELECTIONS IN COUNCIL
89 (CLT) AND COUNCIL 40 (PIT)
In
accordance with the AFA Constitution and By Laws the members
of Council 89 and Council 40 will be receiving nomination
ballots for local elections. Each active member in good
standing may nominate one candidate for the office of
President, Vice President and Secretary. The member shall be
responsible for determination of that member's nominee's
willingness to serve prior to nomination.
Council
89 nomination ballots were mailed January 23. The return must
be postmarked by February 17 and will be counted February 25.
Council
40 nomination ballots will be mailed January 27. The return
must be postmarked by February 20 and will be counted February
27.
Election
ballots will be mailed no later than 90 days before the start
of the term of office. The three-year term begins July 1,
2004.
Council
69 (BOS) and Council 82 (LGA) will have their election later
this year with the new terms beginning January 1, 2005.
