Bankruptcy Court Approves the Revisions to our Collective Bargaining Agreement

At a hearing today, the Bankruptcy Court approved the revisions to our Collective Bargaining Agreement which had ratified by the membership last week. The new contract language takes effect upon issuance of an order by the Court. In addition, the Court approved the modifications to the current retiree health benefits, which had been negotiated with the Section 1114 Committee.

More Agreement Updates

For those Flight Attendants that have vacation in the month of January, the company has agreed to pay out the vacation hourly rate per day as reflected in the old contract, January 1 rate (:30) snap back that had been scheduled.

For January the 21% will cease on January 9th and the new pay rate as reflected in the ratified agreement will take effect on January 10, 2005. This "clean up" of the language will be reflected in February 15th paycheck.

Also, the company is still considering paying the dead head for January as the old contract language for the month of January only.  We are still in discussion with the Company on this item and we will update you further as the information comes in.
