In this E-Line

Pay Rates Increase 2%

In accordance with the July 2002 Restructuring Agreement pay rates for flight attendants in years 6-14+ will increase by 2% on January 1, 2004. (Years 1-5 did not take a decrease in 2002; therefore there is no increase).

6th year $32.87
7th year $34.64
8th year $35.49
9th year $36.65
10th year $37.81
11th year $38.65
12th year $39.56
13th year $40.43
14th year $41.05

ACARS CHANGE

The Company announced a change in how ACARS computes time for flights. Their reason for the change talks about more accurately tracking block times. The reality is that this is yet another way to damage the employees by reducing what you will be paid for each flight. The new ACARS system will not start until the wheels of the aircraft move instead of when the forward entry door is closed. AFA and ALPA are filing grievances on this, as it is just another way for the Company to reduce your pay without negotiating any change to your working agreement.

Unemployment Benefits:

The federally funded Temporary Extended Unemployment Compensation Program passed earlier last year, and intended to provide additional benefits to aviation workers, expired on Dec 31, 2003. New furloughs in 2004 will not be eligible for extended benefits.
