Inflight Administration has completed the award process for VF8. Awards are available in each crewroom and also available on theHub. Award letters will be mailed on Thursday to the flight attendants awarded VF8.

The start date will be February 16, 2004.

Weather Related Personal Day Clarification

The following message was posted on CBS this morning as clarification on Personal days during severe weather situations.

"The following will serve as a clarification to the CBS message sent on January 27th regarding the Personal Day policy during severe weather events. Please be advised that, when a Personal Day (PER) is changed to an Unable To Commute (SCM) during a severe weather event, the SCM will NOT be considered dependability event in the Dependability Control Program. Again, the Personal Day must first be deemed as a qualifying Unable To Commute during a severe disruption day, and the expectation is that flight attendants will make every effort to report to work to ensure the operation is impacted as little as possible."

Reserves and Personal Days

This message is for all reserve personal days. In the event a reserve must call off during two simultaneous duty periods however during one calendar day for a personal, the reserve will be charged with two personal days for record keeping purposes. However, this is not the Company's intent so please notify your local AFA office if this happens to you. The Company has promised they will look at each individual on a case-by-case basis and make adjustments if warranted.
