Dear Members,

WEATHER ALERT

Northeast is getting hit with inclement weatherThe Northeast is getting hit with inclement weather today. The weather is expected to worsen overnight. The Company knows that cancellations will occur throughout the day and into tomorrow. Crew Scheduling is putting a "cancellation team" in place tonight to preempt early morning cancellations and make decisions in advance.

This afternoon Crew Scheduling asked the MEC for the ability to contact Flight Attendants after midnight to advise them if their trip has been delayed, a portion of the trip will be cancelled or the trip will be cancelled in its entirety.

The MEC has agreed to allow scheduling to do this in order to prevent Flight Attendants from arriving at the airport only to discover that their trips may have been altered. We believe it in the best interest of the Flight Attendants to know as far in advance as possible if their trips have been delayed or cancelled.

Crew Scheduling will not be calling Flight Attendants after midnight to assign trips but merely to advise of a change to a Flight Attendant's existing trip.

The Company has also agreed to provide must rides for Crew members commuting into base today and tomorrow. Contact Crew Scheduling if you need a must ride.

Please be careful if you are driving to the airport. If conditions prevent safe travel to the airport do not put yourself in jeopardy. Call Crew Scheduling as soon as practical to advise them of your situation.

Thank you,

The US Airways MEC
AFA-CWA
