Voluntary Furlough Extensions

The following extension reminder is being mailed to all flight attendants with a Voluntary Furlough (VF) return date of June 1, 2005. The mailing will consist of a memo advising VF flight attendants of their ability to extend their VFs and a Flight Attendant Request to Extend Voluntary Furlough form.

Voluntary Furlough Extensions Forms were mailed this afternoon to the flight attendants on VF 2 - 8 who are scheduled to return on 6/1/05.

Below is a copy of the reminder being sent out.

The information is available at www.afausairways.org (look for the VF2-8 Information) and will be available on theHub in the next couple of days.

Dear Voluntary Furlough 2-3-4-5-6-7-8 Participant:

I am writing to remind you that you may apply for an extension of your Voluntary Furlough, which is scheduled to expire on May 31, 2005. A copy of the Flight Attendant Request to Extend Voluntary Furlough form is reprinted on the reverse side of this letter. Please note that the deadline for submitting your extension request is Wednesday, March 2, 2005. You may send your extension form either by mail or by facsimile to Inflight Administration in Crystal City. The address and facsimile number is on the extension form. The results of the award process will be available on Wednesday, March 23, 2005.

Receipt verification will be available via theHub. Inflight Administration will post a searchable list of forms received on theHub each afternoon (M - F). The list will be available after 5PM and include forms received prior to 11am that day. 

Please refer to the Voluntary Furlough Letter of Agreement for details pertaining to your Voluntary Furlough and the extension process, or contact Inflight Administration at 1-800-327-0117, prompt 1,5,4,5, if you have any questions.
