Retiree Update

Many of you have questions and concerns regarding retirement and retiree medical.  While AFA can not advise anyone on what to do regarding retirement issues, please be advised of the following:  The 1114 motion the Company filed in Bankruptcy Court seeking to eliminate retiree medical would, if granted by the Court, eliminate retiree medical for any employee retired on or before January 1, 2005.  Please keep this in mind when making any decisions regarding your potential retirement.  The motion has not been granted by the Court, however, should it be, it would encompass all retirees who have already retired or who retire by that date.

MEC President
Assn. of Flight Attendants, CWA
