MEC OFFICE MOVE

The Master Executive Council Office will be closed beginning today until Friday, August 15, due to the relocation of the office from PIT to CLT.

The decision to move was prompted by the Company's decision to close the PIT domicile and the reduction in the number of flights and cities served by US Airways to and from PIT. MEC Secretary/Treasurer Deb McCormick conducted a cost analysis study to determine where best to relocate the MEC office. The factors considered were cost of office space and utilities, accessibility, lease terms and the cost of area hotels. The locations considered were CLT, PHL and PHX. The MEC (the Local Council Presidents) voted 5 votes to move to CLT and 1 vote to move to PHL. The lower costs associated with relocating the office to CLT was the determining factor.

Until we have our phone, fax and internet service installed on August 13 (sometime between the hours of 0900 and 1700) the MEC office will have no telephone service.

Should you need to contact MEC Vice President, Buddy Brannon or MEC Secretary/Treasurer, Deb McCormick they may be reached via email.
