Reserve Vacation Adjustments |
| Reserve Vacation Adjustments: This is a big change from the old Agreement whereby a reserve could only slip two days for a seven day period and none for less than seven. Effective with the new Agreement was the following: A Reserves, at his/her option, may slip any or all of his/her days off without pay to provide time off before or after vacation periods of seven (7) or more days, and may slip up to three (3) of his/her days off without pay to provide time off before or after vacation periods of less than seven (7) days. Additional days may be slipped with Company consent according to the needs of the service. Example: A reserve has a 7 day vacation period from April 11th thru 17th. His/her reserve line during such period is as follows: Reserve duty on 7, 8, 9, 10 INV/Off on 11, 12, 13, 14 Reserve duty on 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19. This flight attendant elects to slip the 4 INV/ OFF within his/her vacation period to the 7, 8, 9 and 10. To do so, he/she calls Crew Scheduling as soon as possible, or at least by the beginning of the applicable month to get removed from the aforementioned days. Further, if he/she wanted to slip the four INV/OFF days to 9 and 10 plus 18 and 19 or any other combination that would be acceptable. NOTE: Do not forget that on a vacation day, or the above vacation adjustment days a Reserve any at his/her option may pick-up trips off the ETB and such trip will be over and above his/her guarantee/reserve time. |
