2004 Domestic Option Bidding and 2004 International Transoceanic Bidding

Pursuant to Sections 10 and 12 of the flight attendant agreement, all domestic flying options and all positions in the International Transoceanic Division must be rebid for calendar year 2004. Bidding for both programs will begin on July 1, 2003. Bidding will close at Noon (EDT), August 22, 2003.

Below is the Domestic Option & 2004 International Transoceanic Bid Form. Both programs will be bid using the same form. An electronic version of the form is also available on theHub. All bids must be submitted on this form or via the form on theHub.

Please carefully read the instructions and the sample bid form before completing the bid form.

All flight attendants MUST participate in this bid. This includes flight attendants on a leave status. Failure to do so will result in assignment to the Non-Option (85 Hour).

All bids must be submitted and received by Inflight Administration no later than Noon (EDT), Friday, August 22, 2003.

Receipt verification will be available via theHub. Inflight Administration will post a searchable list of forms received on theHub each afternoon (M - F). The list will be available after 5PM and include forms received prior to 11am that day.

Remember, it is your responsibility to ensure that your form arrives in our office by the bid closing date. Simply having a fax receipt/confirmation does not guarantee that your form was received. In past years the fax machines have run almost non-stop during the last week of bidding. Therefore, please bid early.

Results will be posted in each domicile no later than August 31, 2003.

Bidding Instructions:

All US Airways flight attendants must participate in this bid.

This form is designed to allow a flight attendant to bid for:

·         Domestic Options only OR

·         ITD Program only OR

·         Both Domestic Options and ITD Program.

For example, a flight attendant desiring the 55 Hour Domestic Option can make that his/her Choice #1. He/she can then bid for an ITD position if not able to hold the 55 Hour Domestic Option. Please see the last 2 pages for a sample bid form and explanation of  each sample bid.

REMEMBER, each horizontal line is a separate bid. Do NOT mix domestic and ITD bidding on the same horizontal line.

Flight attendants who are not able to hold any of the bid choices will be assigned the 85 Hour Domestic Option. Please be sure you bid enough times to ensure that there is a selection in your choices you can hold. Refer to your contract for bidding parameters.

Domestic Bidding

To bid for a domestic flying option, select the desired option from items A – E and enter it in the Option column.
