AFA
Disaster Relief FundTo All
AFA Members and Retirees:
We know that disaster has changed your
lives in so many ways. While we can’t stop destructive events from
happening, we can, as a Union, assist you in your recovery effort. AFA
established a disaster fund after September 11th to aid our
members who were placed in harms way. AFA members and retirees, whose
primary residence is in a federally-declared disaster area, and who have
suffered damage and/or dislocation, are eligible for $200.00 from the AFA
Disaster Relief Fund. It is a gift made possible by the generosity of you
fellow union sisters and brothers with AFA..
This recovery packet lists other resources
available to you, as well as provides a description of how to access AFA
Disaster Relief Funds, if they are available. If you have any questions
about how to apply for this fund, please call the international EAP office
at 1-800-424-2406.
We extend our heartfelt sympathy to you and
your family during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Patricia A. Friend
