Sick and Tired of being Sick and Tired
On June 7th from 3 P.M. - 8 A.M. AFA members will be participating in a "Sleep-In" on the steps of the FAA to bring attention to the long overdue study on Crew Member Fatigue. Over and over again, the number one issue I hear from flight attendants is how tired they are from the long duty days and short overnights. The FAA has sat on this study for over a year. Why? We all know that it was say the obvious. Safety is at risk, accidents will happen and lives may be lost. We need to turn up the heat on the FAA!
If you are able to attend the "Sleep-In" for the evening or only for a couple of hours you can email David Martin for more details at dmartin@afanet.org. Please be sure to include the activity in the subject line of your email. You can also reach David at 1-800-424-2401 ext 0597.
So if you are sick and tired of the long days and short nights join other AFA members for the "Sleep-In" on the evening of June 7th.
