Dear
Council AFA-CWA Members,
At the recent Local
Council Meeting, on behalf of the DCA reserves, I
brought up the issue of meeting a trip down line when
the first live leg of the trip is a deadhead (DH) if the
reserve has been released by Crew Scheduling after
accepting a trip. Mike Flores, MEC President, discussed
the possibility of this option with John Petronzzi of
Crew Scheduling. After further review of this issue I am
happy to report that reserve flight attendants may now
meet a trip that originates with a DH at the airport of
their first live leg if they have been released. Please
keep in mind that as a reserve you are still required to
be a minimum of one hour and 30minutes from the airport
via normal ground transportation when AVL to crew
scheduling. You may only meet this trip down line if
crew scheduling releases you. This is a new and
wonderful benefit for us reserves. Please do not do
anything that could put this or your dependability in
jeopardy.
Best Regards
Audra L West
