Council AFA-CWA Members,
Inaugural Events
With the inauguration of President-Elect Obama on
January 20th, many of the roads and bridges will be
closed beginning on Saturday and continuing until the
morning of January 21st. If you have a trip departing
during these days or are on call, please plan
accordingly for alternate routes to Washington National
Airport. There is up-to-date information on the Hub at
http://thehub.usairways.com.
Your local officers have been working with the DCA
In-flight staff to provide the most current information.
If you are having difficulty getting to the airport
please remain in contact with Crew Scheduling. Please
take the time to check the local traffic and allow extra
time to travel to the airport. Beginning on Monday until
Wednesday morning the only access to the airport appears
to be via Route 1.
