PAY CUT DETAILS
The first paycheck to be affected by the Court ordered 21% pay cut will be November 15, 2004. Time flown from October 1-17 will be credited at our former rates of pay. Time flown from October 18-31 will be paid at the new pay rates. These rates will be in effect until February 15, 2005 or until a new agreement is reached between AFA and the Company. Our October 30 pay check will not be affected. The 21% reduction applies only to the hourly rates. Premium Pay (Senior, AFT/Galley, International, Understaffing, Holding) remain at our current contractual amounts. Our new pay rates reflecting the 21% decrease are listed below.

The negotiating committee is meeting tomorrow to receive the Company’s latest proposal. I will update you as to that proposal.
Obviously this is a very hard time for us all. We are all rightfully upset. I only hope that each of you can find the strength to continue doing your jobs professionally and safely. I am committed to finding a livable solution to this situation.
