Just as a reminder - there are certain banking holidays that occur on the same date that our pay checks are issued. This affects the flight attendant group in a number of ways. If you have direct deposit into the Credit Union there should be no interruption in the date that your direct deposit is recorded. However, if you have direct deposit to an outside bank, there will be a delay in the date that your deposit shows up in your account. For instance, our April 15th pay date falls on a Saturday and the day before (Friday) is a bank holiday. That means that your direct deposit will be placed into your account on the next banking day which is Monday, April 17th. This issue was settled by the System Board of Arbitration and the language in the contract is in Letter of Agreement on page L36.

Displacements
The Company will be sending displaced Flight Attendants a displacement "packet" with information pertaining to contractual displacement rights and relocation information once the displacements have been processed. Please reference Section 5 "MOVING EXPENSES" of the 2004 Flight Attendant Agreement.
For those of you who received a letter of notification of a ‘possible displacement’ out of Charlotte it is important for you to submit a June 2006 Displacement Location Request Form prior to Noon EDT on April 5, 2006. Even though the displacements out of Charlotte will be dependant on the domino effect of displacements out of PIT it is important for the company to have your base preferences on record. DON’T DELAY !!

AFA Office Voice Mail
Occasionally, Glenda and I are both out of the office at the same time and when we return we usually have quite a number of phone calls and questions needing a response. If you leave a voice mail, please be sure to leave your phone number and your email address so that we can get back to you in a timely manner. We don’t like to return calls late at night since we all have such erratic schedules and email is a good way for us to answer your question without interrupting your off hours. If you have an emergency our cell numbers are posted on the Charlotte AFA website.
