To further clarify
the information regarding flight attendant cleaning
stations: please be aware that East crews are not
responsible for cleaning at any station west of MCI. The
station personnel at these locations have been told that
East crews flying East metal do not clean the aircraft.
We realize that the list of cleaning stations is no
longer all-inclusive since we have added some new
stations. If you have a question regarding this issue,
please call the LEC office.
Reminder - Flight Attendant Cleaning Stations
F/As are responsible for cleaning the aircraft upon
arrival at all domestic stations, including Nassau
(NAS), with the exception of the following:
Flight segments immediately preceding the
scheduled RON of the aircraft.
Flight segments immediately following a
scheduled red-eye.
Flight segments that originate or terminate in
DEN, DFW, EGE, IAH, LAS, LAX, PHX, SAN, SEA, SFO.
Additionally, F/As will not be responsible for
cleaning aircraft on the following:

Non-transoceanic International flight segments.
NOTE: F/As are required to tidy the aircraft
following the last flight segment of their workday if
none of the exceptions exist. F/As should be able to
accomplish the cabin cleaning duties prior to the
conclusion of their duty day on the majority of flights,
but will not be required to exceed their "On-Duty Time"
(15 minutes after flight arrival) to do so.
F/A Cabin Cleaning Duties
Following the completion of safety related duties as
outlined in the F/A Emergency Manual, F/As are
responsible for completing the cabin cleaning duties
listed below:
Collecting papers and refuse in the cabin of the
aircraft.
Crossing seatbelts.
Stowing pillows and blankets in the overhead
compartments.
Removing visible items from the seat back
pockets.
Collecting and stowing magazine, when
applicable.
NOTE: The more proactive refuse collection that is
accomplished in-flight, the less that will need to be
collected on the ground.
Special Cleaning Requests
Should a special cleaning need arise (lav
supplies/illness clean-up/etc.), coordinate with the
flightdeck to call in-range and notify the ground staff.
