  • HEALTH BENEFITS NETWORK PROVIDER UPDATE

  • Council 69/BOS LEC Representatives - Contact Information

Dear Members,

HEALTH BENEFITS NETWORK PROVIDER UPDATE

The company is no longer going to allow a choice of medical providers for 2010 but is offering two(2) options. (1) forward a list of your medical providers to the Company to try to get them enrolled with the new insurance carrier; or, (2) designate a "Benefits Address" with the Company in a state where your preferred network will be in place in 2010. The Company allows you to have two addresses on file, one for Payroll and Residency purposes, and a second one for your Benefits. Your Benefits Address does not impact your state of residency for payroll taxes, but it does drive the insurance network. If this is the option you are choosing, please be sure to designate an address where you can pick up your new insurance ID cards, flexible spending account reimbursements, and any other benefits-related mailings (your Fidelity retirement statements are mailed to your Payroll address).

Instructions for designating a Benefits Address:

  • Top blue bar - My HR new - click on it.  There are links at the top of every page (next to the Employee Travel Center, or ETC, link)
  • Sign in to wings- You will use your employee number (which is the number starting with "2" on the front of your US Airways badge) as your Username. Your default password to access the system for the first time is the word 'Usa' plus the last four digits of your Social Security Number (example: Usa1234). If you have previously activated your Wings account, use your normal password.
  • Near the top - Go to My HR - click on it
  • Near left bottom under Navigator - US Airways Employee Self Service - click on it
  • On right under Personal Information - My Information - Click on it
  • Scroll down through your information and update as appropriate.
  • Under Other address - on right - UPDATE - click on it
  • Enter info - have to fill in county - click next

If you have problems logging on to Wings, contact US Airways IT Department at 480-693-6029.

2010 insurance networks are as follows:

  • Blue Cross Blue Shield States for 2010: Alaska, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia*, Washington, Washington DC

  • United Healthcare States for 2010: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Wisconsin, Wyoming

*West Virginia was incorrectly designated as UHC in the benefits mailing you received from US Airways last month

If you are adding a "Benefits Address" in order to remain in your current network, please do so as soon as possible but definitely before Thanksgiving Holiday so that you will receive your new health insurance ID cards by the first of the year (log on to Wings http://wings.usairways.com).

As always print a copy for your personal records.

OPEN ENROLLMENT RUNS FROM OCTOBER 15 THRU OCTOBER 30

Please go on the Benefits page and review your coverage choices/beneficiaries etc. Even if you are not going to change anything, go to the page and follow the instructions -
