BENEFITS FAIR OCTOBER 9TH, 8:30 - 3:30 / NEXT TO SHUTTLE
TICKET COUNTER
For those flight attendants that will have to change health care
providers, have outstanding questions and concerns about
coverage under United Health Care, Friday October 9th between
8:30 and 3:30 would be a time to meet with a representative from
UHC and discuss these concerns. The Health Benefits Fair will be
located next to the Shuttle ticket counter.
Please make an effort to attend, provide detailed information
and ask your questions. Examples: Your provider does not change
but you have to travel to another location to have prescribed
blood work done - you need to ask if the facility/lab at your
physician's office offers the ability currently under BXBSH, why
can't UHC offer this same coverage. Your entire family will have
to change physicians and a member of your family has to have
surgery - you need to ask if you can maintain your existing
physicians and if not why not. Under Blue Cross Blue Shield you
were able to see your physician over a weekend and under United
Health Care this coverage has changed, - you need to ask and
provide that it may be at a greater co pay cost to you.
If you have an outstanding claim issues with UHC and they have
not been resolved - speak to the UHC representative. Get them
resolved and ask what UHC does differently today to prevent
these same issues.
I know there are many that have very valid concerns. Friday
October 9th at the Health Benefits Fair is a place to start
expressing those concerns.
