  • Reserve Notes - OPR

  • Council 69/BOS LEC Representatives - Contact Information

Dear Members,

It is only September 24th and almost all of the BOS reserves have been or are about to be assigned OPR two (2) times. Please review the contract language 11-16 2., specifically the last sentence that reads;

No reserve may be involuntarily assigned to OPR duty more than two (2) times in a month, unless all available reserves at the domicile have been assigned two (2) times.

It looks like BOS reserves all might have the opportunity of being assigned OPR a 3rd time!

Speaking of OPR please also review 11-16 5. OPR is 4 hours. There is no debrief. For example, morning OPR is 0500-0900. Reserves sitting OPR can receive an assignment after 0845, but prior to 0900.
